Knitty
Last night I headed over to the Sugarbowl for my first ever Stitch n' Bitch. I've been working on my clock for ages and I really needed the motivation to keep at it. And this provided it. What could be more fun than sitting in a charming coffee shop with lovely people, knitting.
I was one of the more advanced knitters there. Which suited me just fine. I helped one knitter cast off, and showed another my beloved wrap pattern. It was great to be able to share all the knowledge I've acquired.
The companionship provided also felt awesome. Back in Van-city my cousin and I used to knit together, and I missed the feeling that gave me. I missed the pressure to finish a project and the bond of a common interest. The people at the group were my kind of people. I'm definitely going to be going back next month. And hopefully by then I'll be done with my clock and on to another project to show off.
So if there are any knitters, or wanna-be knitters, in the Edmonton area come on out next month. There's going to be a website soon for our little group, and as soon as it's up and running I'll link it here. It'll have all the details you require, as well as pictures of all the fun we knitters have. I promise you a good time if you come on out.
