Everytime you Close your Eyes
I very much enjoyed myself this evening. We headed over to The Mall to the worst venue in the history of venues to take in Bell Orchestra, Wolf Parade and The Arcade Fire.
Wolf Parade stole my heart a few weeks ago when Yamers started downloading them, and they did not disappoint in any way, shape or form. I'm even thinking of forgoing food for a few days so I can buy their CD...I'll keep ya'll posted on that development.
The Arcade Fire were amazing showmen/show-women. They can all play each others instruments and were continually switching. The percussionists were beautifully weird and enchanting, playing with motorcycle helmets, flag sticks, and tambourine piled on fellow bandmembers heads. And their sheer love of music just shined through amazingly. To end the show they paraded through the crowd and then out the door.
All in all a nice break from the craziness of school.
it's weird that arcade fire did a parade and wolf parade didn't have a fire.
musicians are crazy.
