200th Post!

Wow. 200. I feel like I should be celebrating or something. At least doing a dance of some sort. Sadly my feet are still hurting from my weekend of running, walking, standing around and dancing in heels, so perhaps I shall just stay in my chair.

This weekend I headed to one of the flatter provinces to see two friends commit to love one another 'til death do they part. It was a lovely affair through and through I must say. The bride was absolutely gorgeous, and the groom was visibly smitten with her. I got to wear a pretty dress and get the movie star treatment of having my hair and makeup done.

The trip out was a fun ride, and a reunion of my second year roommates. At the actual wedding I was able to catch up with some friends I hadn't seen in over a year and bonded with some new ones. I also had one of the most beautiful bouquets I'd ever seen. The food at the reception was pretty tasty and the band wasn't half bad. I favourite moment was when they played 'Cadillac Ranch' and everyone who had been through the Alberta elementary and Junior High curriculum did the line dance we had learned in school. With many of the Saskachewan kids looking on in amazement, that was wickedly fun. Of course next time I'll try to not be wearing a ball gown and three inch heels, it makes a few of the steps a little tricky.

The drive back was incredibly relaxing and once getting home I had a lovely 2 hour nap on the couch. And now I'm just counting the minutes until it's an appropriate time for me to go to bed for real. For as lovely a time I had, sleep was not a major accomplishment of the weekend.

All in all, seeing two people who love each other as much as these two do, and to announce it to a church full of their nearest and dearest was the best way I could have spent the long weekend. And I hope everyone (in Canada)is having a great Thanksgiving!
