Let's Go Oilers!!!!!
My computer is now officially hooked up to the world wide web. I'm one happy girl.
Sadly the happiness that unlimited full access to the internet provides me has been overshadowed by the drunken idiots who made Whyte Ave such a bad place to be employed on Saturday night. I hate them all. So much so that I will never, ever, ever date a man who owns an Oilers Jersey. I just don't understand how your team winning a sporting event leads to drinking yourself stupid, and then proceeding to stab people, flash your chest, climb telephone poles and swing from the traffic lights, break windows of various businesses that did not ask you to come to the damn street in the first place, defecating in back alley's and setting gigantic bonfires in the middle of the street. But then again I'm also not a hockey fanatic, so I think I'm missing out on some logic here.
Hopefully they will just win the Stanley Cup in a four game streak, and then this will all be over...of course when they do win the cup the entire city of Edmonton will explode, and Whyte Ave will be burned to the ground. But that just means I won't have to deal with any of the crap provided by my any of my customers again.
Other than that though, I had a thoroughly enjoyable weekend, and the week isn't looking to shabby either. Langano Skies is having an all you can eat Vegetarian Buffet on Tuesday...so if anyone needs me I'll be stuffing my face with lentilly goodness that night. And even though I'm working all nights this week, there will be no hockey again until at least Saturday, so I can look forward to just the usually amount of drunken buffoonary.
Life is looking good. If only the weather would sharpen up and I could wear more skirts. I'm damn sick of my pants.
Okay that's all I needed to say. I'm going back to bed.

I propose a new law: If you weren't on whyte ave in December, standing in line in -20 degree weather, waiting to get into a bar, then you are only allowed to go to whyte during the summer on wednesday evenings, between 6:15 and 6:45pm....no other times allowed! I hate seeing whyte being pissed on by gangstas from the 'burbs who are there only 'cause it is "the place to be". BLAH!
Yay for the internet! Good to have you back.
The says he plans to do something about all the gatherings/riots on Whyte for hockey games/Canada Day/etc., but somehow I don't see this one being an easy fix. I guess we'll see...
