I take it back
Okay. The thing is when I said I wanted snow, what I really meant is I wanted it to snow when I didn't have to drive, and to stay lovely and clear when I had to. So next time I guess I know to be more specific 'cause driving to work today was a whole hell of a lot of not fun. Actually I'll up that to down right scary. My car, does not like snow or hills or a combination of the two. It really doesn't like stopping and starting either. The wheels however do very much enjoy spinning.
So yes, it's beautiful and lovely outside. And the snow is perfect for snowball fights and snowmen. But very bad for driving.
So bus here I come!
(Hopefully when I wake up tomorrow it will be gone....this is Vancouver right?)
Umm...about the bus thing...this is Vancouver. They don't work so well in snow. Judging from people's experiences today so far, I'd say take the normal time you would expect to spend on the bus, and multiply by ten. Seriously. Me, I'm going to walk.
Sorry Tessa, the forecast over the next few days is continued snow, personally I am hoping for cancelled classes tomorrow, that would really float my boat. Jan's right, the busses suck, I had to take the number 4 home from school...
I know we don't get much snow here, but we do get it every year and you'd think the city would learn its lesson and take steps to deal with it. But it doesn't. I had a dental appointment this morning, after which I tried to catch a B-line from Willow to UBC. I waited for an hour. Two buses came, but were too packed with people to let me on. I then decided that having to wait that long to get somewhere that I didn't want to be in the first place was a slap in the face. So I walked to MacDonald, waited 45 minutes for a 22, and came home. I love snow, but not when I have to travel in it.
