Smoking
I went to the Persian Tea House here in lovely Vancouver last night. I was slightly nervous, mostly because I'm rabidly anti smoking and the whole point of this place was to suck flavoured tobacco out of one of these things, while sipping yummy tea and having great conversation.
Happily I found the smoking part thoroughly enjoyable. It didn't burn my throat or make me cough or anything. And it was actually quite tasty. I found the whole experience to be quite relaxing.
So I'm going to have to go again. My only hope is that there is one in Edmonton. If there isn't I guess I'll just have to open one.
in 3 days, edmonton will be like vancouver.. with the whole no- smoking by-law in full effect..good timing for you.
we went to one of those places in Russia all the time, we called it shesha? that might be french.. or russian.. we must find one in Edmonton!?
Cocodi is the place to go in Edmonton for some sweet Turkish smoking. And I believe the place is exempt from the smoking ban, as the Persian Tea House is in Vancouver (but I'll double-check). So, we totally have to go now. I haven't been to Cocodi is about a year!

Yeah, what you've been smoking is infact Sheesha (spelling?) and isn't actually your regular tobacco. You can smoke regular tobacco with it, and other types of herbal delicacies. ;)
