For Anick

I'd go for Scorsese. Eastwood might do it, but I have a feeling they're going to give it to Marty for all the past wrongs. (See Costner, Kevin winning for Dances with Wolves, instead of Scorsese for Goodfellas.)

Also I already have the DVD, but thanks for the sentiment.

I stupidly guessed Mike Leigh, even though I didn't particularly enjoy the film. I'm not really very good at predicting the results of silly contests.

Unless it's a box set, I don't really want the DVD, but I guess I could always take it to the Wee Book Inn and trade it in for something better.

I found out yesterday that the Edmonton Film Society's new series of black and white fims is going to feature films starring William Holden and/or Kirk Douglas. The first one shown will be Sabrina (yay!).
