Fresh Feeling
Sorry y'all. I briefly forgot I had a blog.
Dear Frankie is a wickedly cool movie. And it only made me cry twice. I highly, highly recommend it. It's sweet, funny, sad, and romantic....oh and filled with Scottish people, with a gorgeous Scottish landscape. I really need to get back to that country soon.
The new Paramount here in Vancouver however is massive. Anna and I got briefly lost while trying to find our theater and I'm not quite sure about the interior decorating. Oh and anyone who thought it was a good idea to sell full, smelly meals in a movie theater is stupid. I seriously did not need to smell the burger the guy a few rows ahead of us was scarfing. Ick!
I had a goodbye-like dinner with Amanda last night, followed by a goodbye pint with Sean. They are both taking off to Quebec for the next month, so there goes like 2/3 of my social life. Bitches!
Amanda and I ordered out from out favourite Chinese place, with it's yummy Hot and Sour soup. I really love the food there, but will never order from there without Amanda, it's like our special place now. And I'd feel incredibly betrayed if she ever ordered there without me.
After she left, I settled into watch America's Next Top Model, when Sean called. He invited me to go play Bocce with him and a few friends. Since it was pretty much the last chance I'd get to see him before he leaves on Saturday, I changed out of my PJ's and went. And it was a lot of fun. I'd somehow managed to not play Bocce ever ( for those not in the Know, you take this little white ball, and then everyone throws bigger balls at it, and whoever is closest wins) and I was pretty bad. I got my ass kicked by my three male companions quite thoroughly. Except for once. We decided to try playing on the beach, and on my first throw, I landed directly on the ball. The boys each took their next two turns, trying to displace me, to no avail, and I won. Which was tres cool. After Bocce we went out for a pint, and I stayed out a little past my bedtime. Fortunately work wasn't too tricky today, and I only had the one session.
But yeah. I have a pretty relaxed weekend so far, with nothing happening on Saturday (hint hint Vancouverites....entertain me) and hanging out with Janice on Sunday to hear about all her Mexico adventures. Can't wait!

Glad to hear you liked the movie. I'm kind of surprised that the "Fast Food" thing never cought on sooner at the theatres, I mean they've been selling hot dogs and fries at the drive-in for ages. (Although I can understand why it'd be a bad thing.)
Saying good-bye to friends is always a bummer, but atleast it gives an excuse to write letters and travel some.
Hey, was wondering if we could switch to Saturday? I, um, forgot Sunday was Mother's Day. Because of being the best daughter ever and all.
